By accessing or using Jiminy ("the Service," "our Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including guests completing pre-check-in and property managers using the dashboard.
2. Description of Service
Jiminy is a pre-check-in platform that facilitates the booking and check-in process for vacation rentals and accommodations. Our Service includes:
- Online pre-check-in forms and document verification
- Payment processing for fees, deposits, and upsells
- Communication tools between guests and property managers
- Booking management dashboard for administrators
- Integration with property management systems
3. User Accounts and Access
3.1 Account Creation
Access to the administrative dashboard is invite-only. You must receive an invitation from an authorized administrator to create an account. Guest users can access the pre-check-in system using their unique booking code.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Ensuring your contact information is accurate and up-to-date
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion.
4. User Responsibilities
As a user of our Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information
- Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Not upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
- Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws

5. Payment Terms
5.1 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. We do not store your complete payment card details.
5.2 Security Deposits
Security deposits may be held (not charged) on your payment method. The hold will be released according to the property's policy, typically within 7 days after check-out, provided there is no damage or violation of property rules.
5.3 Fees and Charges
You agree to pay all applicable fees including:
- Cleaning fees
- Pet fees (if applicable)
- Upsell items and add-ons
- Additional charges for damages or violations
5.4 Refund Policy
Refund policies are determined by the property owner or manager. Please refer to your booking confirmation for specific cancellation and refund terms.
6. Identity Verification
For security purposes, we may require you to provide government-issued identification. By uploading identification documents, you consent to our verification process. We use secure methods to store and process these documents and will only use them for verification purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Ownership
The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Jiminy / Aardvk Labs and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for its intended purposes. This license does not include any right to resell or commercial use of the Service.
7.3 User Content
By uploading content to our Service (such as documents or information), you grant us a license to use, store, and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
8. Privacy and Data Protection

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
12. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jiminy / Aardvk Labs regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
